Antimicrobial Copper Laminate Film

Copper: Naturally Antimicrobial

Microbes can proliferate on materials such as plastic, painted surfaces, glass, and stainless steel. This offers microbes and viruses linger and continue to spread if not actively disinfected on a regular basis.

Copper is an eco-friendly, naturally occuring element that has everlasting antimicrobial properties. The microbes' body structure and genome are destroyed on the copper surface within minutes.

How It Works

  1. Copper acts as an inhibitor to microbe replication.
  2. Microbes recognize the copper ion on the surface as an essential nutrient, absorbing it into their cells.
  3. The Absorbed copper ion causes the cells to lose significant nutrients and water.
  4. The ions then pull active oxygen ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) through the penetrated hole of the cell membrane.
  5. This interference with the microbes' repiratory and metabolic activity leads to the destruction of the cell.
